#SABVENTURES : DAVAO CITY FT. SAMAL ISLAND

JAN 22-24 2016

Started the new year with the most relaxing #SABVENTURES so far.

Last year was a year full of learning, fun, travels and adventures. Me and my travel buddies travelled for almost every month. All those travels were full of activities which is of course super exciting but tiring. This year, we decided to make it a little bit low key and relaxing. And nothing is more relaxing than travelling. I love flying!

OHHH HELLO DAVAO!!!

Welcome to the City of Royalties and Durian Capital of the Philippines, Davao City!

Upon arrival in Davao we rode a cab from the airport to the town proper (i must say they care about the tourists because before you get out of the airport exit they will ask for your name and took note of the plate number of taxi that you're in) and the traffic is nothing compared to Manila. ;)

We waited for Tita Baby (the cousin of my Mom's friend), since we will stay with her for the night before going to Paradise Island in Samal the next day. Once we met her we decided to have our pasalubong shopping in Aldevinco it's near Ateneo De Davao University. You can buy some malong, shawl, I love Davao shirts, pearl jewel and more in a very cheap price.

We had dinner at Jack's Ridge, (you can choose which restaurant you want to eat).

Over-looking view of the place is so amazing-bells! you can see the whole Davao!

The LOVE-LOCK davao version

The following day we went to the port of Paradise Island Resort and rode a motor boat going to Samal Island.

Hello!! Paradise Island!!!  You are beautiful! The people are so friendly and accommodating. That I promise you!

While having lunch at the beach side. You can take in the amazing view of the beach.

Someone just turned 22 and someone will be turning 22 in a few weeks! #AQUARIUS. Maybe that's the main reason why we love beach and water and travelling.

Well, Here's to our signature poses. We do it every time we travel.

I'm super happy so have to take more selfies as I can. Hooraaay Selfies :*

A girl at a beach with her phone story...

And of course Tiffany's birthday wouldn't be complete with out fire dancing and birthday cake. Happy Birthday Jowa!

Last stroll at Paradise Island before heading back to Manila. I can't believe we're going back to reality that fast.

On our way home..... Thank you Davao for your warm hospitality!

TIPS:

** There are our place you can actually visit in Davao that we did not since we really want it to be a relaxing vacation. Some of it are: Eden Park , The Philippine Eagle Centre, Crocodile Park. Which will cost you roughly about 3,000-3,500 when you rent a cab.

** Paradise Island is highly recommended because they have their own private motor boat for their guests so you don't have to ride a ro-ro. The private boat cost us PHP15.00/ ride. You can have a day tour or stay over night.

** Jack's ridge also have an accommodation so you can stay there too. Tip: Have an early reservation so you can choose where you can seat.

** Buy your pasalubongs in Aldevinco Shopping Centre. It's located in front of Ateneo de Davao University. You can bargain for lower price too!

** If you love SUHA or POMELO and DURIAN they have it in Aldevinco too.

Thanks for reading!

Sooo.. excited for my next SABVENTURES!!!! xx SAB
