#SABVENTURES: SINGAPORE

November 07-12, 2016

Hello Everyone! I know it's been a while since my last post(sorry about that). So here I am ready to share with you my FIRST EVER OUT OF THE COUNTRY adventure!! YES! YES! it took me 22 years before i got the chance to travel aboard HAHAHA! AND THE CHOSEN COUNTRY IS *drum roll please* SINGAPORE!

We actually planned to visit Singapore around June or July but the airfare is quite pricey for a 3-hour flight. So we decided to wait for the Travel Expo, unfortunately, the great deals are all sold out. HUHUHU!! Luckily, We discovered Air You Go that offers affordable travel deals both domestic and international flights. We bought our package for only PHP 15,000 ALL IN (Airfare via Cebu Pacific, Hotel, Tours). The tour package also includes half day city tours in the nearby cities : Johor Bahur, Malaysia and Batam, Indonesia.

We arrived in Singapore via 5J807 MNL SIN 10PM to 0140AM (Cebu Pacific). It is actually my first time too to fly with Cebu Pacific *** a lot of first for this trip, I guess ;) ***

After the immigration, we claimed our baggages and waited for our transfer to the Hotel until 7:30AM. (Please keep your ARRIVAL CARD, the card that will be given by the Cabin Crew inside the aircraft where you will fill-up all necessary details about your stay in Singapore, because you need to present it again on the day of your departure)

Since we arrived at the hotel before the standard check-in time which is 2:00PM. We decided to leave our baggage at the reception to start our day in Singapore.

Before we start our SINGAventures we purchased first a 3-day unlimited Singapore Tourist Pass for SGD20.00 plus SGD10.00 rental deposit (the rental deposit is refundable! NO WORRIES!)

It is actually advisable to buy one since most of the time you'll be riding the metro and/or bus. AND for me it is cheaper and more convenient than buying every time. AND you will never worry when you get lost since you have an unlimited pass. You know what I mean?? :)))

DAY 01 : SINGAPORE : UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Started our first day by dropping by Singapore's famous Universal Studios. You can actually buy tickets online which will cost you roughly 75SGD. But we decided to purchase our tickets in the Philippines through a travel agency, Horizon Travel, we got it around 55-65SGD. I definitely enjoyed being in Universal Studios!! There are a lot of attractions you can choose from and everywhere are just IG-worthy!! HAHAHA :)

DAY 02 : JOHOR BAHRU,MALAYSIA & LITTLE INDIA,SG

For our second day we went to Johur Bahru for our half day city tour in Malaysia. It is actually a small town that will show you a glimpse of Malaysia's culture and traditions. We went there via Bus that is included in our package. ;)

We went through immigration as well, had our passport stamped for Singapore Exit and Malaysia Entrance, so you really have to listen well to your tour guide/bus driver. They gave us instructions of DO's and DONT's and where should we go and what to do. PLEASE AVOID TAKING PHOTOS while passing the border/bridge and at the immigration.

We visited a place which showcases Johor Bahru's culture (dance and wedding ceremony) and tasted their coffee using their own moulded steel shot glass.

During our tour in Johor Bahru, we also visited a temple and learned about the relationship and history of Singapore and Malaysia. Thanks to our tour guide, Sheryl.

After our half day tour in Malaysia, we went to Little India in Singapore to check their see the colorful houses and stores there.

DAY 03 : BATAM, INDONESIA

On our 3rd day we went to Batam, Indonesia via boat. We were fetched by our driver at 7:30AM then went to a mall near the port where we exchanged our tickets and boarded the boat. During our trip we visited a temple, tried their Batam Cake specialty, tasted their chocolates, had our lunch at the Golden Prawn, witnessed their culture and traditional dance (ALL ARE INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE) except the ticket going back to Singapore - Transfer to the hotel and met two amazing momshies (Tita's of Manila) that of course became our friends :)

DAY 04 : SINGAPORE CITY TOUR (LAST DAY)

Before our flight back to the Philippines we were scheduled to have our half day Singapore City Tour.  We were picked up by our driver/tour guided at the hotel around 8AM and went directly to the famous Singapore's Merlion to have our photo taken. He instructed us to meet him again at around 10AM or 1030AM. Unfortunately we lost the track of time or didn't heard him clearly and we missed our city tour !! AHAHAHAHA :)))) SHHHHH! Don't tell my mommy! Nonetheless, we were able to see the Merlion and Marina Bay across it.

Mandatory (Inumin mo ang laway ng lion) shot :)

Really enjoyed my first ever out the country #sabventures!!!! I can't wait for the next one!!! Anneyong, Korea!!!! :)))
